Issue: Race
The book assigned for this issue is The Absolutely True Diary
by Sherman Alexie. It is a novel about a Native American teenager
growing up and living on an Indian reservation. In the story the
character has many experiences, including deciding to attend an
all-white public high school off the reservation.
